Welcome to our very first Warrior Athletes Newsletter!!!!
In the words of Gwen Stefani “Let me reintroduce myself!”
Coach Kris here, I bet some time has passed since we last saw each other… just to remind you, I have coached your child sometime in the last 4 years although you may have known my program by another name (Playball or CrossFit Kids).
Some of you may be asking… What is Warrior Athletes? The short answer…
“We help parents raise strong, confident caring kids and we help kids develop the tools they need to face any challenge with confidence, strength and compassion.”
BUILDING THE FOUNDATION FOR EXCEPTIONAL HUMANS
How do we do it? With our…
WARRIOR BODY
It doesn’t matter what your child’s fitness level is. Our programs are designed to get every kid excited about physical literacy, strength, and overall fitness.
WARRIOR MIND
Being an exceptional human goes beyond just being physically strong… we work so hard to make sure our bodies can do the things we ask it to and we want our minds to be just as fit. We have incorporated age-appropriate mindfulness techniques into every class to help develop resilient and adaptable humans.
The Covid-19 pandemic and the current say at home orders have been tough on us all. As a parent myself, working from home and trying to manage my own children’s learning has been a struggle.Getting them active after a full day behind a screen is an even bigger challenge. It has been proven that being physically active can help to improve mental health and reduce anxiety and stress. According to a March 2019 study by Xihe Zhu (associate Professor and Chair Human Movement Sciences at Old Dominion University in Norfolk VA) there is a strong correlation with lower rates of anxiety and depression in children who exercise.
